Support has ended
Vue 2 no longer receives fixes from the Vue team. Your support route should be an explicit choice.
Vue 2 to Vue 3 migration
We assess what your application depends on, protect the workflows people use, and move to Vue 3 in reviewable steps. The result should be a product your team can keep improving.
Start with a free 30-minute exploratory conversation.
Find blockers before they become surprises.
Check a representative workflow.
Keep behavior and ownership in view.
A measured upgrade for an application already in use.
The situation
Vue 2 reached end of life on December 31, 2023. That alone does not tell you to rewrite tomorrow. It does mean support, dependencies, and the next release deserve a deliberate plan. Read Vue's end-of-life notice
Vue 2 no longer receives fixes from the Vue team. Your support route should be an explicit choice.
Router, component libraries, and build tooling can turn a version bump into a broader upgrade.
Older APIs and scattered conventions make routine changes harder to review and maintain.
Without a clear behavior baseline, the team cannot easily tell what the upgrade might change.
The decision
A Vue 3 migration addresses changed APIs and compatibility. Pattern alignment is a separate, deliberate refactor: clearer state ownership, less duplicated logic, and conventions the next developer can follow.
We preserve a working Options API style where it fits. A Vue version upgrade does not require removing TypeScript or rebuilding the application from scratch.
What we assess firstTwo kinds of work
We separate required migration changes from optional simplification, so you can review the cost and purpose of each.
Review changed component APIs, routing, libraries, and build constraints. Keep critical behavior visible through tests and acceptance checks.
Decision / viable migration routeWhere the evidence supports it, remove duplicated rules and unclear state flows. Explain these refactors separately from the framework upgrade.
Decision / useful cleanup scopeThe first paid step
After the free call, we scope an assessment around your actual codebase. It should leave you with a route, the important risks, and a useful first delivery to approve.
Talk through your appVue version, routes, state, UI libraries, build setup, browser support, and tests
Compatibility blockers, critical flows, missing coverage, and release constraints
A direct upgrade, staged route, or supported period on Vue 2 when that is the sounder choice
A representative slice, acceptance checks, and a planning range with assumptions
Our approach
The size of the work depends on your dependencies and release constraints. We decide the route with you before scaling the migration.
Use a free 30-minute call to understand the product, the reason to upgrade, and what a useful next step would be.
Inspect dependencies, Vue 2 patterns, critical workflows, and tests. Recommend a path and scope the first slice.
Upgrade a representative workflow and compare its behavior before committing to the full job.
Complete the approved scope, check critical flows, and document the conventions and remaining decisions.

Let's map the next stepCommon questions
No single date decides your product's risk. Vue 2 no longer receives fixes from the Vue team, but extended support is an option. We assess your requirements, dependencies, and timetable before recommending a route.
No. Vue 3 supports the Options API. We can preserve that structure when it suits your team and the application. We change component patterns when the upgrade requires it or when a specific refactor earns its cost.
We inventory them first. Some packages need a compatible version or replacement; other changes can be a separate decision. The assessment makes these dependencies visible before we price the work.
Browser support and rendering architecture affect the upgrade route. IE11 requirements, Nuxt, and custom server-side rendering need a separate assessment and estimate; we would not treat them as a standard SPA upgrade.
Yes. Framework migration and TypeScript-to-JavaScript simplification are separate services. We do not remove types as a hidden part of a Vue upgrade.
The free call checks fit. A scoped assessment identifies blockers and critical behavior, then gives a planning range and pilot criteria. Release and rollback plans depend on your actual deployment setup.
